During a recent trip to Europe, the WINNOTIME team found that conversations about wearable industry often led somewhere unexpected: Shenzhen.

在日内瓦举行的交流活动开场时，现场特别播放了三段关于深圳的城市影像——《Shenzhen in Depth》以及关于 2026 APEC 的相关视频，让来自欧洲的朋友们感受到深圳这座城市的活力与创新氛围。从科技产业到城市文化，从湾区发展到国际合作，影像呈现出深圳作为中国现代化城市代表的独特气质。深圳将于 2026年举办APEC会议，作为中国的科技之都、创新之都，同时也是 “中国钟表之都”，正以开放的姿态走向世界舞台。
In meetings with watch brands, independent watchmakers, media representatives, and industry associations, one topic surfaced again and again. People wanted to know more about the city behind the platform — a city many had heard about, but few fully understood.
At the opening of a gathering in Geneva, the team screened several short films introducing Shenzhen, including Shenzhen in Depth and a presentation related to APEC 2026, which the city will host. For many guests, it was a first glimpse into Shenzhen's story — a city shaped by technology, manufacturing, creativity, and an unusually fast pace of change.
Today, Shenzhen is widely recognized as China's innovation capital and the country's watchmaking center, but statistics alone do not fully explain its global appeal. What intrigued many guests was the combination of speed and openness that defines the city.

错过了分享，却没有错过对话。对深圳与“创新”的好奇，让交流在活动结束后继续发生。
活动中还发生了一件颇为有趣的小插曲。一位瑞士嘉宾因交通原因稍晚抵达现场，遗憾错过了WINNOTIME团队的视频分享环节。活动结束后，他特意找到团队成员，希望能够进一步了解深圳，了解“创新”是如何让城市与产业产生连接。他坦言，自己一直对深圳充满好奇。通过视频呈现的真实画面以及背后的故事，他深深感受到这个城市所散发出的温度与善意。
One small moment during the event captured that curiosity perfectly.
A Swiss guest arrived slightly late due to traffic and missed the presentation. After the event ended, he approached the WINNOTIME team and asked if someone could tell him more about Shenzhen. He had heard about the city for years, he said, but had never had the chance to understand what makes it unique.
What surprised him most were not only the technological achievements, but the human stories behind them.

深圳图书馆 24 小时开放，为城市中的每一个人点亮一盏灯。在这里，知识与关怀同样被认真对待。
尤其是当他了解到深圳图书馆24小时开放，让“偶遇困境的人可以有尊严地获得免费餐食与休息的机会，可以免费阅读书籍、获得学习的机会，也可以感受到来自城市的关怀”时，他不禁动情地感慨：这是一座充满现代气息与活力的城市，也是一座不断创造发展奇迹的年轻城市，更是一座充满人文关怀的城市。
He was particularly moved by the idea of Shenzhen's 24-hour public libraries. The fact that anyone facing unexpected difficulties could walk into a library, rest, read, and access knowledge freely struck him as deeply meaningful. In his words, Shenzhen appeared not only as a modern and dynamic metropolis, but also as a city with warmth — a young city that continues to grow while caring for the people who live in it.

从“猫猫员工”到动物栈道。深圳的城市温度，也藏在这些细节之中…
同样令人印象深刻的，还有分享嘉宾在介绍WINNOTIME团队时提到的三个特别的“猫猫员工”。当大家听到深圳会为动物修建专门的通行桥梁、为鸟类改造更适合筑巢的路灯、为候鸟迁徙在夜晚关闭部分灯光时，许多现场嘉宾都情不自禁地为这座城市鼓掌——在他们看来，这不仅是一座高速发展的城市，也是一座尊重自然、关怀生命的城市。
Other stories brought smiles to the room. Guests learned that the city has built dedicated bridges for animals, redesigned streetlights to allow birds to nest safely, and even turns off certain lights at night during migratory seasons to protect birds. These details prompted spontaneous applause from the audience. For many, they revealed another side of Shenzhen — a city that balances rapid development with respect for nature and life.

这次出访，恰逢中国外交部刚刚发布面向 50多个国家的免签政策。这一政策将为他们未来来到中国、参加 “China Watch Week & WINNOTIME” 提供极大的便利。
这次出访，恰逢中国外交部刚刚发布面向 50多个国家的免签政策。WINNOTIME团队也积极向交流过程中遇到的外国朋友介绍中国持续扩大开放的政策、中国对全球合作的理解，以及中国推动国际交流与合作的态度。
可以说，在此次接触的外宾中，大约80%的人此前并不了解这一政策。当他们听到这一信息时，最初甚至有些将信将疑。WINNOTIME团队随即帮助他们打开中国外交部官方网站，让他们第一时间确认政策的真实性。随后，几乎所有人都明确表示，这一政策将为他们未来来到中国参加 “China Watch Week” 提供极大的便利。
The timing of the visit also coincided with a new policy announced by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs: expanded visa-free access for travelers from more than 50 countries.
Interestingly, nearly 80% of the international guests we met had not yet heard about the policy. When the WINNOTIME team showed them the official information online, skepticism quickly turned into enthusiasm. Many immediately began discussing future visits to China — particularly the possibility of attending China Watch Week in Shenzhen.

当我们向他们介绍中国近年来不断完善的 知识产权保护政策、外商投资保护政策以及市场开放政策 时，许多嘉宾也表达了自己的看法。超过 80%的人提到，他们对当前全球经济中某些国家的保护主义政策以及对WTO体系的冲击感到担忧。而对于WINNOTIME所提出的理念——

For the WINNOTIME team, the journey through Europe was never only about promoting an industry platform. It was also about sharing the story of a city.
Shenzhen's development over the past four decades has transformed it into one of the most dynamic urban centers in the world. The city is home to more than 600 listed companies and has become a global hub for technology, innovation, and advanced manufacturing. At the same time, it remains the heart of China's watchmaking industry — earning it the title “China's Watch Capital.”

These themes resonated strongly in Geneva. During the event, the WINNOTIME team referenced innovation rankings from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), highlighting Switzerland as the world's most innovative country and Shenzhen as one of China's leading innovation cities.
The comparison created an immediate connection. When the discussion turned to watchmaking, the symbolic link became even clearer: Geneva, widely regarded as the world's watchmaking capital, and Shenzhen, known as China's watchmaking capital.

For the Swiss brands, independent watchmakers, and industry leaders present, the parallel felt both natural and inspiring.
During the luncheon that followed, several guests commented on WINNOTIME's concept — W + INNO + TIME — which interprets time not only through watches, but through innovation, collaboration, and global dialogue. Many praised the idea and expressed admiration for the city that gave rise to it.

十天跨越四国十六城，一路所见皆是交流。而深圳的故事，也在世界舞台上被越来越多人听见。
从慕尼黑到日内瓦湖畔，十天的行程马不停蹄。团队辗转 四个国家、十六座城市，拜访 60多家企业、近百位行业人士，行程超过 3,000里。风雪与暴雨交织，山河与城市交替，这一路所书写的，也正是另一个意义上的 “Shenzhen in Depth”——深圳更深处的故事。
WINNOTIME所讲述的，不仅是钟表的故事，更是 中国文化、中国创新、中国制造走向世界的故事。
在全球产业与文化交流日益紧密的今天，深圳的故事正在被越来越多的人听见，也正在被越来越多的国际伙伴所理解与期待。
Over the course of ten days, the WINNOTIME team traveled from Munich to Geneva, crossing four countries and sixteen cities, visiting more than sixty companies, and meeting nearly one hundred professionals from across the watch industry. The journey covered more than 1,500 kilometers, through snow, rain, mountains, and highways.
In many ways, the trip itself became another chapter of Shenzhen in Depth — revealing how a city's story can travel far beyond its borders.
Because the story WINNOTIME tells is not only about watches.
It is also about Chinese culture, Chinese innovation, and Chinese manufacturing engaging with the world.
And as global connections continue to deepen, Shenzhen is no longer just a city people have heard about.
It is increasingly a city the world wants to understand.
